Sunnfjord Museum
Drivings eastwards along E39 from Førde, you will find Sunnfjord Museum on the banks of Movatnet.
This museum of cultural history features collections and ewhbitions reflecting the daily lives of ordinary people in Sunnfjord through the years.
The open-air museum consists of an original smallholding and a reconstructed cluster of farm building comprising a herb garde, a mountain farm and a cultivated landscape.
The buildings at the open-air museum come from all over Sunnfjord, representing architectual traditions spanning from 1500 to around 1900. The museum is surrounded by beatiful nature. There are several walking paths with information boards containing details about det local nature and cultural history.
We offer guided tours for all the guests at the open-air museum during the main season. Gift shop and kiosk.
